Can Those Who’ve Passed Away Enter Kingdom of Heaven, Gain Eternal Life?

Brothers and sisters,

Hello! I’m Xiangwei. I have investigated the work of Almighty God in the last days and from Almighty God’s words and work, I am sure that Almighty God is indeed the returned Lord Jesus, and is Christ who bestows the living wellspring on us. I have also understood that experiencing the judgment work of Almighty God in the last days is the only path of entering the kingdom of heaven and having eternal life.

I rejoice that I have gained the salvation of the last days. However, when I am happy, I cannot but think: Some Christians have passed away before Almighty God starts doing the judgment work of the word in the last days. Most of them are true believers in the Lord who dedicated themselves to the Lord and spread His gospel. Do those people have the opportunity to enter the kingdom of heaven and gain eternal life? What do you think of this question? I am looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely yours,

Xiangwei

Sister Xiangwei,

Hello! So glad to get your letter. From Almighty God’s words and work we have confirmed that Almighty God is the second coming of the Lord Jesus and so we can accept God’s work in the last days, get the chance to enter the kingdom of heaven and obtain eternal life. It is really God’s grace and exaltation. Thank God! The question that is confusing you is also the one that many brothers and sisters mentioned in their letters. We understand it as follows.

We all know that God is righteous and He practices impartiality and gives every person a suitable destination. For those who have died before Almighty God starts doing the work of judgment by the word, God will give them suitable arrangements according to their actions. About this question, God’s word gives us the answer. God says: “When they die, they too are subject to a stringent investigation by God’s messengers. And what is investigated? God’s messengers investigate the paths taken by these people throughout their lives in their belief in God, whether or not, during that time, they ever opposed God, or cursed Him, and whether or not they committed grievous sins or evil. This investigation settles the question of whether the person leaves or stays. What does ‘leave’ refer to? And what does ‘stay’ refer to? ‘Leave’ refers to whether, based on their behavior, they remain among the ranks of God’s chosen ones. ‘Stay’ refers that they can remain among the people who are made complete by God during the last days. For those who stay, God has special arrangements. During each period of His work, God will send such people to act as apostles or to do the work of reviving the churches, or tending to them. But the people who are capable of such work are not reincarnated as frequently as the unbelievers, who are reborn time and time again; instead, they are returned to earth according to the needs and steps of God’s work, and are not those who are reincarnated often. … It is that when God does the final stage of His work during the last days, these chosen people will all come among man. When they all come, this will be the last time that they are reincarnated. And why is that? This is based on the outcome to be achieved during God’s last stage of work—for during this last stage of work, God will make these chosen people entirely complete. What does this mean? If, during this final phase, these people are made complete, and made perfect, then they will not be reincarnated as before; the process of being human will come to a complete finish, as will the process of reincarnation. This relates to those who will stay. So where do those who can’t stay go? Those who can’t stay have somewhere appropriate to go. Firstly—as with the others—as a result of their evildoing, the mistakes they have made, and the sins they have committed, they too are punished.”

From God’s words, we know that after generations of believers pass away, they will receive a stringent investigation by God’s messengers. Their leaving or staying depends on their actions when they were alive. If they truly believed in God, loved the truth, had good humanity and had done no evil when they were alive, based on their actions, God will let them remain among the ranks of believers in God; and according to the needs of God’s work, He will arrange for their souls to be reincarnated until they are reborn in the last days and accept God’s work of the last days. The Lord’s word said: “And this is the Father’s will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day” (Jhn 6:39). If a believer in God committed a lot of evil and deliberately offended God, no matter how many years he has believed in the Lord, how much he has suffered, or how many roads he has traveled, he will suffer perdition and destruction. God doesn’t allow them to be reborn. This exactly fulfills what is written in the Bible: “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: But to them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath” (Rom 2:7–8).

Besides, the work of God is currently not over, so some people who can be reincarnated will be sent back to the world at a proper time by God and live among man. After experiencing God’s work and some situations, they will die and go back, and then be sent to experience God’s work again. In the end, some of these people can be made pure and enter the kingdom of heaven and have eternal life through experiencing God’s chastisement and judgment work in the last days. While some of them also have experienced the work of God in the last days, but their corrupt dispositions are not purified, so they can’t enter the kingdom of heaven. Because God is holy and righteous, He never allows the filthy and corrupt people to enter His kingdom. This is determined by God’s essence. There are still other people who are given the chance of reviving in the last days by God. However, they not only don’t accept God’s work in the last days, but also resist and condemn God’s work, and even block others from seeking out and inspecting the true way. For such people, no matter how faithfully they believed in the Lord before, they finally cannot enter the kingdom of heaven or obtain eternal life. It allows us to see that only the work of God in the last days decides everything. Whether we can enter the kingdom of heaven and gain eternal life depends on how we experience and seek in God’s work of the last days.

Almighty God says: “Christ of the last days brings life, and brings the enduring and everlasting way of truth. This truth is the path through which man shall gain life, and the only path by which man shall know God and be approved by God.” “Christ is man’s gateway to the kingdom during the last days, which none may bypass. None may be perfected by God except through Christ.” In addition, it says in “Sermons and Fellowship on Entry Into Life”: “Humans of the ancient and prehistoric ages were destroyed for resisting God, and now that God comes in these last days judging and chastising corrupt humanity in order to save them, this is also the last chance for humanity to be saved. If believers in God cannot accept the salvation and perfection of God’s judgment and chastisement in the last days, God will target them for destruction.” From these we can see that if we want to be purified, we must accept the work of judgment and chastisement with word of Almighty God, Christ in the last days. Only those who are cleansed of their corrupt dispositions through this work and finally obey and worship God are those who receive eternal life. As for those saints of ages past who truly believed in the Lord and followed the Lord, God will arrange for them to come back in the last days. Through experiencing the judgment and chastisement of God’s word, their corrupt dispositions will be cleansed and transformed, and then they will be brought into God’s kingdom in the end.

Sister Xiangwei, I hope the fellowship above can help resolve your puzzlement. If you are still unclear about some questions, please write to us, and we will reply to you immediately. Thanks be to God!

Sincerely yours,
