Brothers and sisters, we are truly so blessed to be born in the last days!” Hearing the Pastor’s words, everybody was excited and eagerly yearned for the Lord coming soon so that they could escape the worries in the world and would be with the Lord forever.

5. “At that time, the Jews all read the Old Testament, and they knew that Isaiah had prophesied that a baby boy would be born in a manger. Exactly how will the Lord come?

I remembered that our pastor often said, “The Lord will come soon, so we should wait watchfully. When the Lord comes, He will descend on a cloud to take us into the kingdom of heaven.” At that time, most of my brothers and sisters approved of his words. However, I felt puzzled about his view that the Lord Jesus will descend on clouds, for I saw these words of the Lord Jesus in the Bible: “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15). “If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come on you” (Revelation 3:3). The Lord Jesus’ words clearly told us that He would come like a thief. That is to say, people are completely unaware. However, won’t everybody see Him if He returns descending on the clouds? What is that really about? This question was always a puzzle to me.the return of Jesus

III. On the Truth of the Incarnation

1. God’s saving of man is not done directly using the method of the Spirit and the identity of the Spirit, for His Spirit can neither be touched nor seen by man, neither can man draw near.

II. On the Truth of God’s Name

1. Some say that the name of God does not change, so why then did the name of Jehovah become Jesus? It was prophesied of the coming of the Messiah, so why then did a man by the name of Jesus come? Why did the name of God change? Was not such work carried out long ago? Cannot God this day do a new work? The work of yesterday can be altered, and the work of Jesus can follow on from that of Jehovah.

Why is God called by different names in different ages? What are the significances of God’s names?

The Lord Jesus said, “How think you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seeks that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish” (Matthew 18:12-14). As I read these words of the Lord and pondered the parable He spoke, I deeply appreciated God’s sincerity in saving us mankind.

My last several fellowships were about God’s work, God’s disposition, and God Himself. After hearing these fellowships, do you feel that you have gained an understanding and knowledge of God’s disposition? How great of an understanding and knowledge? Can you put a number to it? Did these fellowships give you a deeper understanding of God? Could it be said that this understanding is a true knowledge of God? Could it be said that this knowledge and understanding of God is a knowledge of the entire substance of God, and all that He has and is? No, obviously not! That is because these fellowships only provided an understanding of part of God’s disposition, and what He has and is—not all of it, or the entirety of it. The fellowships enabled you to understand part of the work once done by God, through which you beheld the disposition of God, and what He has and is, as well as the approach and thinking behind everything that He has done. But this is only a literal, spoken understanding of God, and, in your hearts, you remain uncertain about how much of it is real.
